Scientific method
This process was developed to ensure a repeatable, systematic method of developing and testing a hypothesis. The basis of the method is that a scientist develops a hypothesis about a phenomena, develops an experiment and then compares the outcome to the hypothesized result. If the outcome significantly deviates, the scientist must adjust their hypothesis and retest again.
