Answer:

Yes, it did. Both the scales and the graph in the introduction showed that the mass of the products and the reactants were equal, even though the forms of the molecules changed. In the simulation, atoms and molecules formed new molecules during the chemical reactions, but the number of each type of atom stayed the same.
