In order to write 2 12/13 to a decimal, you must divide 12 by 13. 12 divided by 13 is 0.923. However, you must add the whole number making it 2.923. Yet, you must round it to the nearest tenth. 9 is in the tenths place meaning we rely on 2. 2 is less than 5 meaning we round down. The answer is 2.9.
