You have to do -x to both sides

2x - x - 4/5 = x - x + 4

x - 4/5 = 4

Then you add 4/5 to both sides

x - 4/5 + 4/5 = 4 + 4/5

x = 24/5

Then we need to check are work by plugging it in

2(24/5) - 4/5 = 24/5 + 4

48/5 - 4/5 = 24/5 + 4

44/5 = 24/5 + 4

44/5 = 44/5

So x = 24/5
