First, you multiply the two "x's" together to get x^2.

Then, you multiply the x in the first parenthesis by the 7 in the second parenthesis to get 7x.

Next, you multiply the 9 in the first pair with the x in the second pair to get 9x.

After that, you multiply the 9 and 7 to get 63.

Put that all into equation- x^2 + 7x + 9x + 63- and simply to x^2 + 16x + 63.
