What does the amplitude tell you about the wave? Where might you see a light wave with a large amplitude? Why?

The amplitude of a wave tells you how much energy it's carrying.

You might see light waves with large amplitudes if you're 10 miles from the sun, or if your little brother comes and points a flashlight right into your eye.
