The solution would be x<1

These types of inequalities can be tricky if you don’t know you have to flip the sign.

First you want to treat this as if a regular equation so subtract 5 on both sides to then get -6x by itself. Your new inequality will look like -6x > -6. Now isolate x by dividing by -6. Now since you are dividing by NEGATIVE 6 then you need to flip your sign the other way. Your new inequality would have looked like x>1 but since it needs to be FLIPPED then it will actually be x<1
