Why is sine and cosine defined at 90 degrees? It makes a 90-90-0 triangle which makes no sense tome.

when theta = 90 degrees, the hypotenuse = opposite side, so sin (90) = 1

in the unit circle interpretation, sin theta is defined as y-coordinate point the unit circle that correspond to the measure of the arc along the unit circle
