A reflecting telescope is an optical telescope which uses a combination of curved or plane mirrors to reflect light and form an image, rather than lenses to refract or bend light to form an image It is usually used for astronomical purposes.

The image is formed by the objective mirror ... the big one at the bottom end of the telescope. To SEE the image, you can put an eyepiece an inch or two behind it, or a piece of film or a CCD to capture it.
