A network interface is used. there are many different types, such as ones that only support an Ethernet connection​, which is wired, and ones can only connect through wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi), which are found in phones and tablets, or certain laptops. There is a third type, which allows a connection through both a wired connection, and a wireless connection, found most commonly in laptops and certain desktop pcs
