developed by President James Monroe that warned Europe to keep out of American
affairs was the Monroe Doctrine.
The Monroe
Doctrine by American President James Monroe was established in order to oppose
the European colonialism in America which begins in 1823. European nations
would want to take control over the independent states of North or South America
will be interpreted as "the manifestation of an unfriendly disposition
toward the United States."
