A strength training program requires a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks (of training) for significant strength gains to become evident.

Strength training is a type of physical exercise focused on the use of resistance (weights) to increase (the size of) lean muscle tissue, build strength, decrease body fat and increase (anaerobic) endurance. It also provides other physical and psychological benefits as well.
