An appropriate term could be socialization. Socialization is the process of learning norms values, attitudes and behaviors. Socialization is an important function of the family in the society today. The process is usually facilitated by parents but can be done by other family members depending on the type of family. If the process is not carried out children grow up not knowing how to be functional members of society.
