The area of a rectangle is 42 m2 , and the length of the rectangle is 5 m more than twice the width. find the dimensions of the rectangle.

Let w and 2w+5 be the width and length. Then:
w(2w+5)=42
2w²+5w-42=0
(2w-7)(w+6 )=0
w=7/2 or -6
If the width is 7/2 m, then the length is 12 m
