Complete the point-slope equation of the line through (−5,7) and (−4,0)

First, find the slope:

[tex] \frac{0-7}{-4-(-5)} = \frac{-7}{1}=-7 [/tex]

Then put it in the point slope form (y-k = m(x-h)):
y-7 = -7(x+5)
