8 pieces of rope that are 4 yards each

8 x 4 = 32 yards in all

There are 3 feet in 1 yard, so in all there are 96 feet

4 pieces that are 4 feet each

4 x 4 = 16 feet in all

96 - 16 = 80

80 feet of rope is left

hope this helps
