Should spanish colonial settlers accept the new laws of 1542?

Yes, i think the spanish should accepted it.the new laws of 1542 was a proposal for the spanish settlers to do preservation upon native indians in america.
If the spanish accepted this, they might be able to form a mutually profitable trade relationship with the natives rather than have to be in constant conflicts with them
