Find the length and width of the rectangle.
Length= 7 Width= 5
5*7= 35
Triangle= 1/2*b*h
base= 7 height= 2 (if you were to draw a line from the vertex to the base of the triangle, it would be 2 units)
1/2*7*2
1/2*14
7
35+7= 42
The area equals 42.
