the rise and run same thing as slope
to find the slope
m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)
m = ( 3 - 1)/ ( -2 - 4)
m = 2/ -6
m = -2/6
simplify
m = -1/3

rise = -1 and run = 3
the slope = -1/3

In case you'll need it: the equation is y = -1/3x + 7/3

Hope this helps
